Rome, GA · Northwest Georgia

Overnight childcare for the people who keep Rome running after dark.

Your Overnight Peace of Mind

Nurses on 7P–7A. EMTs holding the radio. Firefighters between calls. Plant crews keeping the line moving. Hotel desks at 3 AM. The night-side workforce of Northwest Georgia has carried our community on its back — without a reliable childcare option during the hours they actually work.

Night Owl Academy is being built to change that. Overnight-only, designed around the realities of shift work, in a secure church-owned wing on N Floyd Park Rd.

Joining early helps us plan capacity around real schedules — space will be limited at opening.

Who we built this for

The people holding our community together — at hours nobody else is awake.

Night Owl Academy exists for the parents who clock in when most centers close. If you're one of them, this is for you.

  1. Healthcare workers

Twelve-hour night shifts on the floor. The center is being designed around overnight clinical schedules, with calm morning hand-offs that respect post-shift exhaustion.

  2. First responders

Police, fire, EMS. Your shift schedule is non-negotiable, and childcare shouldn't be either. Consistency, safety, and same-day flexibility are baked into how we're building this.

  3. Manufacturing & overnight industry

Plant shifts. Logistics hubs. Overnight warehouse crews. Floyd County and Northwest Georgia run on you — and your kids deserve dependable rest while you work.

  4. Hospitality & on-call workers

Hotels, restaurants, security, dispatch. Schedules change week to week. The drop-in membership is being designed for exactly that kind of unpredictability.

How it works

Built around the realities of shift work.

Calm evening arrivals, supervised overnight rest, gentle morning hand-offs — designed so your child's day fits the way your work week actually runs.

  1. Step 1

    Evening arrival

Families arrive in the evening, settle their child into a calm, supervised space designed for rest. Caregivers handle dinner if it's still meal time, bedtime routines, and the transition from a busy day to overnight quiet.

  2. Step 2

    Supervised overnight care

Children sleep in a safe, dedicated wing with consistent caregivers awake and on the floor through the night. Documentation, security, and staffing follow Georgia DECAL evening- and night-time care standards.

  3. Step 3

    Morning departure

Mornings are gentle — wake-up, breakfast, and an unhurried hand-off to families before school or the next shift. The schedule is built for the workers who keep our community running.
